Generally speaking, the focus position error of laser cutter has certain regularity, which can be compensated by quantitative compensation method, but occasionally there are some random errors, which can only be eliminated by line detection and control.
1. Workpiece geometric error
The object of laser cutting is plate or cover-type parts. Due to various reasons, the surface of the processed object is uneven, and the thermal effect during the cutting process will also cause surface deformation of thin-plate parts. For one-dimensional laser processing, The surface of the cover will also be uneven during the press molding process, all of which will produce random changes between the position of the laser focus and the surface of the processed object and the ideal position.
2. Errors generated by the workpiece clamping device
The workpiece cut by the laser cutting machine is placed on the needle-shaped worktable. Due to processing errors, long-term wear between the workpiece and laser burns, the needle bed will be uneven, and this unevenness will also produce thin steel plates and lasers. Random error in position between foci.
3. Programming errors
In the laser cutting process, the machining trajectory on the complex surface is fitted by straight lines, arcs, etc. There are certain errors between these fitted curves and the actual curve. These errors make the relative position of the actual focus and the surface of the processing object and the ideal programming. The position produces a certain error, and some programming systems also introduce some deviation.
As mentioned above, some novice laser cutting machine operators should pay more attention to the uneven surface of the workpiece to be processed, the clamping method of the workpiece, the geometric error of the machine tool and the deformation of the machine tool under the load force, and the workpiece during the processing. The thermal deformation of the laser will cause the deviation between the laser focus position and the ideal given position (programmed position), and make corresponding adjustments.
